After the groundbreaking success of our tour in 2023, there is now a sequel. I’m really excited because there are not only new dive sites, a new safari boat and Mermaid Protector news, but also a reunion with old and new friends and fans of the brand.

OUR BOAT
Horizon III is a twin-engine yacht with 12 cabins for 22 to 24 divers. On board there is a restaurant, a bar with a wide selection of drinks, a spa with experienced Ayurveda therapists and a sundeck with a jacuzzi. A separate 24m Dhoni will accompany us on the journey. Also on board: A video monitored socket adapter station.
Main Deck: Air-conditioned lounge, comfortable sofas, TV, books, music, bean bags, internationally stocked bar and dining area.
Upper Deck: Outdoor seating and sunbeds with loungers and hot tub.
Sun Deck: deck chairs, sun loungers, bean bags.

Gerald Nowak – The whale relative
If there is water somewhere, Gerald jumps in too. Neither temperature nor salinity of the moist water plays a role, as long as he gets something big in front of the lens of his underwater camera. He supplies magazines worldwide with his results. He already has photographed leopard seals in Antarctica and sperm whales off Mauritius. The great white shark – without a cage – is still on his bucket list.

Sibylle Gerlinger – the lover of details
The slugs she loves are small and colorful. Sibylle dives and has been writing about it in various media for many years. Since she has a camera with her even in the water, the bizarre macro creatures are among her favorite subjects. She finds colors, shapes and structures bewitchingly beautiful, even though or perhaps because of some of them are only a few millimeters in size. A particularly large number can be found in Southeast Asia, where her favorite diving areas are.

THE PROGRAM
Included for all participants is an underwater photo shooting with professional photographers. All guests will receive UW photos of themselves and a special surprise goodie bag from Mermaid Protector as a souvenir.

THE TOUR
Diving: 2 to 3 dives per day plus 1 to 2 night dives.
Atolls: North Male Atoll, Lhaviyani Atoll, Noonu Atoll, Baa Atoll, Raa Atoll
Type of dives: Best of all
Marine Life: Mostly pelagic fauna. Reef Sharks, Whale Sharks, Manta Rays, Macro
Hanifaru Bay: We will visit Hanifaru Bay on September 7th when there is full moon. Hanifaru is a fascinating natural wonder in the Maldives. This protected area in Baa Atoll boasts rich biodiversity and incredible underwater spectacles. It is the season of the manta rays and we will swim and snorkel in the crystal clear waters alongside these majestic creatures. Hanifaru Bay is also home to vibrant coral reefs, sea turtles and diverse marine life.
