WHAT NATURAPACK STANDS FOR??

The back in time journey into the company beginnings tells the story. Merging respective fields of expertise allowed to establish the new company  in 2018, after brainstorming between professional windsurfers and packaging experts initiated mutual desire to do their part saving the world’s oceans and reduce plastic waste.

Oliver-Tom Schliemann was a professional athlete and had been constantly confronted with the issue of plastic waste in the ocean through his many competitions. The negative development was frightening and constantly growing. This is how the first discussions and ideas with packaging expert Eric Klawohn  came together. This resulted in the creation of flexible and independent company Naturapack.

As a brand-independent system supplier, Naturapack has made it possible to offer the right packaging materials and machines suited to their clients needs. They have found the best products for each packaging process, and therefore, always offer their customers what makes the most sense, ecologically and economically. On the market, many packaging materials, such as strapping, padding or even adhesive tape, are mostly made of plastic. At Naturapack there are sustainable alternatives for exactly these things, completely without plastic! Starting with 100% recyclable cardboard boxes, Naturapack also offers environmentally friendly paper and wet adhesive tape for sealing your cardboard boxes.

As an ever-growing company, now employing over ten people, Naturapack is also trying to convince its customers to pack their products without plastic, so that we can all contribute as much as possible to protecting of the environment.

THE PROBLEM: ENORMOUS AMOUNTS OF PLASTICS ARE USED WORLDWIDE AND THEN THROWN AWAY.

According to the EU Commission, around 26 million tons of plastic waste are generated in the EU alone every year. Only just under 30 percent of this is collected for recycling; the remaining 70 percent ends up in landfills, incinerators or the environment. Above all, however, this waste ends up in our oceans, which means the death of thousands and thousands of animals every year.
